A failed initiative:  Mr Gorbachev  A hero who could not achieve the ultimate goal.

Unique experiment in USSR politics failed in long run as Mr Gorbachev was too fast and in politics you can not be Gandhi as that ideology will work only if all the citizens are educated, well behaved, selfless, thinking of everyone etc., etc. which is ideal for Utopia and is never possible with human race and will never be.

In today's world öne who leads and where buck stops need to be patient with changes, using carrot and stick methods as and where appropriete and allow the reforms to assimillate. Haste will always have deletorius effect resultind in chaos.
